HOW IS TELEVISION GOING TO BE IN THE FUTURE?

TELEVISION IN THE FUTURE

Apple´s launch of an Ipod Video and other announcements such as Itunes selling videos and episodes of American television series is a sobering thought about the future of television.

It has no particular interest nowadays as the price is still quite high, so many internet users will continue downloading the chapters free.

On the one hand, television is considered a limited set.

Television has limited channels transmitting at a specific time. Actually, you have to pay to expand your channels. We then watch programs that we do not want to see, at times when we do not want to see. We are bombarded by advertisement that adds a lot of time viewing the program. Maybe they can improve. Allow their consumers to decide what they want to see. Demand-television. Personalized television will give more accurate advertising. They can even make you pay to remove ads if the consumer decides to.

On the other hand, Internet is growing at an incredible speed. You have free access to any information. You can check whatever you want at any time of the day. News, advertisement, reality shows, culture programs. You can get anything you think of. So what about television?

Televisions have lived until nowadays far away from new technologies. I wonder if they are aware of the changes in newspapers or radios to start to improve. Internet is strong and has all the power.

The number of consumers is much higher than in television. Is television considered something of the past?

This is the beginning of the end.
